He did kick me up the arse!

Da roof is on fire.

At this point I'm not sure what's going to be happening with the rest of my degree. Sometime this morning a fire broke out in part of the Department that I belong to. A facility for fabricating microchips has been completely gutted and is as far as I know still on fire. This isn't much of a worry to me in itself as I'm doing a computer science degree. The problem is that this building is connected to another by a walkway and this building is mainly offices for Electronics lecturers. That building is connected the computer science building by another walkway. The fire is starting to spread to the electronics building.

It had to happen to ECS didn't it, why couldn't it happen to Sports "Science", or Management, or Law, or something like that?

Update, not that anybody really cares. The fire has died down, the damage will mostly affect postgraduate electronics students. I probably wont be affected much, beyond the fact that I can't get my uni email or access the departmental website because they cut power.

omg thats mental hope no one was hurt!
Nobody was hurt no. Not directly anyway. I suspect all the postgrads looking at the posibility of starting their research or phds from scratch are in a lot of pain though.
I was driving past late Sunday afternoon and wondered why everything had been roped off. Obviously now I know. This was a pointless comment, but I am bored. Hope it didn't effect you anyway!
The major effect on me has been the lack of email access or being able to read my online notes. The other thing is that all my lecturers are going to be spread all over the place because. Luckily it didn't spread to "my" building or I might not have been able to finish my degree.
